Kia’s 2025 K4 GT Line Impresses NEMPA Members. “The K4 GT is a small package that’s big on features and should be on your shopping list.”

While many respected automotive giants have thrown in the towel in the competitive small sedan and hatchback market, Kia has stepped into the ring swinging. The New England Motor Press Association membership has given the Kia K4 GT Line a full workout. Let’s see what the members have said about this outstanding vehicle in print, on video, and in podcasts.

John Paul, AAA’s Car Doctor, did a full review of the K4 GT Line on his Car Doctor podcast. John enjoyed the K4, taking four adults out in the sedan comfortably. John Said, “I think the K4 does a great job in the small sedan space.” John went on to point out the 10-year 100,000-mile warranty and concluded, “The K4 is a winner.”

Kia's 2025 K4 GT Line looks brilliant in morning fog.

Gerry Miles published his K4 review at the Road Miles automotive blog. Gerry is one of NEMPA’s senior testers and has acted as a mentor to many members over the years, including me. Gerry’s summary was “The K4 GT is a small package that’s big on features and has what should be on your shopping list.” He’s spot on. With so much content for so little money, the K4 is going to be a strong competitor in this segment.

Gerry also snow-tested the Kia K4. He told readers that a “… quick-moving snowstorm did little to hamper the Kia in its snow travails. It warmed quickly, the defrosters cleared the windows, heated the interior, and the heated front seats for an enjoyable snow-covered sortie around the Seacoast.”

In this segment, you’d better bring your A game because Honda and Toyota are not messing around. Both have great cars in this segment and both offer legendary quality, durability, and reliability. Jr. Damato is an expert mechanic for Car Talk. His impressions can sway a car onto or off a top ten list. When Jr. wrote on Facebook, “The K4 GT Line shows quality all over,” I quickly realized that I needed to emphasize this in my own review. Jr.’s correct. The K4 is a car that exudes a premium vibe.

NEMPA’s John DiPietro is an editor at U.S. News and World Report. He helped ensure that the K4 was included in its reviews section, where the K4 earned a solid 8.8/10 score.

Kia's 2025 K4 GT Line has an attractive upscale look inside that is sure to impress buyers. Two tone seats augment the premium feel.

Paul Zangari is a reporter for NBC10 in Providence, RI. He enjoyed some seat time in the K4 and said that it offers spirited performance and competent handling. He also took note of the K4’s spare tire, which was timely, since NBC10 was doing a special on tire-popping road damage the very evening he tested the car.

Kia's K4 is one 2025 model that still comes with a standard spare tire.

We looked to NEMPA’s Nicole Wakelin to close out the synopsis of our content on this Kia K4 GT Line. She captured this car’s essence perfectly, saying at CarBuzz,

The Kia K4 offers a balance of style, technology, and performance that makes the Kia K4 a standout in the segment. It has a comfortable ride, an attractive interior, and two responsive engines that prove an affordable car doesn’t have to be boring. This is a sedan that won’t break your budget, but also one you’ll look forward to driving every day.

The K4 continues to be tested by the membership. Watch for more content from the NEMPA team at national and international outlets.
