2010 NEMPA Ragtop Ramble / Crustacean Crawl recap

The 2010 New England Motor Press Ragtop Ramble/Crustacean Crawl recently went off without a hitch. As in, none of the vehicles graciously provided by automakers had any trailer hitches. This year, we opened the event up to new, noteworthy and exciting cars, in addition to the traditional focus on convertibles. Our friends in the car business came through, and we had a fantastic selection of cars to run the revised route up the coast from Boston to Maine. Getting out of the city gave everyone an opportunity for some hijinks, and some summertime traffic along the beach roads ensured we had plenty of time to talk and work up an appetite.

The vistas were beautiful, the cars entertaining, and (once we all got there!) the lunch was its usual fantastic spread. NEMPA sincerely thanks everyone who made the event possible. As summer winds down, we’re looking forward to our next big thing, the judging for the Official Winter Vehicle of New England. Between now and then, our goal is to get our membership some wheel time in the latest and greatest snow and ice taming vehicles, be they all-wheel-drive crossovers, four-wheel-drive pickup trucks for plow duty, scrappy off-roaders or solid family sedans. You’ve probably heard from us already about sending up the winter cars you’d like to sell, but if not, count on first contact soon!
